Proposed Amendments to Local Rules
Pursuant to Title 28 U.S.C. 2071(b), the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Arkansas are providing public notice that several Local Rules are being amended in anticipation of the amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil and Criminal Procedures that go into effect on December 1, 2009. Access to the proposed amendments is available below. Comments to the proposed Amendments to the Local Rules must be received by the Clerk's Office at Judge Isaac C. Parker Federal Building, P. O. Box 1547, Fort Smith, AR 72902-1547, by no later than close of business on Friday, November 6, 2009.

Federal Sentencing Guidelines Seminar
The Arkansas Federal Public Defender Office is sponsoring a Federal Sentencing Guidelines Seminar on Thursday, October 22, 2009, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott in Fort Smith.
