Amendments to the Federal Rules of Appellate, Bankruptcy, Civil and Criminal Procedure, and Federal Rules of Evidence became effective December 1, 2013, including significant revisions to Civil Rule 45, Subpoena. A listing of all amendments and revised forms is available below.
The Administrative Office of the United States Courts has announced an increase in the following fees effective
December 1, 2013.
Court of Appeals Filing Fee: Increased to $505.00.
Records Retrieval Fee: Increased to $64.00 for one box of records and $39.00 for each additional box.
The United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas anticipates the confirmation of a new district judge by the end of 2013. The court reporter position will be assigned to the new judge and will be located in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The court will be closed during the following dates this holiday season.
Amended General Order No. 19 was entered by Chief Judge P, K. Holmes, III, on October 23, 2013. The General Order provides that a Petition for Warrant for Offender Under Pretrial or Supervised Release and the issuance of a warrant for arrest will be maintained under seal until a warrant for arrest is returned executed and/or the defendant appears before a judicial office.
Effective September 1, 2013, Motions for Leave to Appear Pro Hac Vice MUST be submitted CONVENTIONALLY (in paper) with an Application Fee of $100.00.

Effective September 1, 2013, the following changes in Attorney Admission Fees will be implemented in the Western and Eastern Districts of Arkansas:
General Order No. 43 IN THE MATTER OF ATTORNEY ADMISSIONS AND PRO HAC VICE FEES was entered by Chief Judge P. K. Holmes, III, on August 19, 2013. The General Order suspends the $10.00 Biennial Assessment of Library Fund fees for attorneys admitted to practice in the Western and Eastern Districts of Arkansas, effective September 1, 2013.
